Lord Marland Meets George Steuart Chairman During CWEIC Visit to Sri Lanka

The Rt Hon. Lord Marland of Odstock, Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), met with Mr Sarva Ameresekere, Group Chairman of George Steuart & Company Ltd, yesterday in Colombo for a high-level discussion on advancing Commonwealth business partnerships.

Mr Ameresekere was joined by Mrs Varuni Fernando, Group Director, and Mr Eran Ranasinghe, Managing Director of George Steuart Health (Pvt) Ltd. The engagement was held at the iconic Boardroom of The Steuart by Citrus, reflecting George Steuart & Company’s role as a Strategic Partner of CWEIC.

Accompanying Lord Marland were Mr Niro Cooke and Ms Pamela O'Leary, Board Members of CWEIC; Prof. M. Asif Chaudry, CWEIC Advisory Board Member & Robotic Cancer Surgeon at The Royal Marsden; and Mr Deshan J Gonawela, CWEIC’s Country Director for Sri Lanka. The visit underscored CWEIC’s commitment to fostering strategic collaboration with local partners and reaffirmed Sri Lanka’s growing significance within the Commonwealth’s economic and investment landscape.
