COST ESTIMATION ENGINEER - SOLAR
Your Role
• Prepare & validate BOQs/ BOMs and project cost sheets and commercial estimates ensuring
technical accuracy competitive pricing and targeted project margins.
• Analyze BOQs, engineering drawings, specifications, and project scope requirements.
• Evaluate and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations while maintaining up-to-date pricing
databases.
• Review tender documentation to identify scope gaps, commercial exclusions, risks, and
project assumptions.
• Perform cost comparisons and value engineering to optimize system design and enhance
project profitability.
• Ensure all estimates strictly adhere to solar PV engineering standards, electrical codes, and
client specifications.
Your Profile
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Quantity Surveying,
or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in solar PV estimation, costing, tendering, or project
engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helios Scope) is
preferred.
• Strong analytical, numerical, commercial negotiation, and written & verbal communication
skills.
